At this moment in time, Lerris Saphire and Morgan Lockheed have met Grohn in the house of Lockheed's father. Grohn has been disarmed, but still has the child in his arms. His back to an open door, Grohn will run for the mountains, where the climax will take place. Lerris runs after, and they meet on the side of the mountain. In the midst of the battle, Grayson is killed. It is uncertain how he dies, but it has been discussed. It is probable that Grohn topples off the side of a steep hill, taking Grayson with him, and Grayson dies in the fall. Grohn blames Lerris for the death, and Lerris blames Grohn. In the end, Lerris comes home a different person, coarse and angry and hard and changed.
It is intended, after the story is over, mention of Lerris going off again and again to find Grohn and kill him, wherein he gains a taste for death and violence, and excitement much as Rowen had in the beginning of her career. This could be early in the next thread or late in this one.
