I ate
somewhere between three and four slices of cheesecake, various other assorted desserts, bread pudding, sp*onfuls of berries, crab benedict, pork, mahi mahi in lemon sauce, raw oyster, smoked salmon with cream cheese and bagel, a bit of mashed potatoes in lemon sauce, a bite of creamed potato and leek soup, chocolate-dipped strawberries, and plenty of champagne and mimosa
at the Hyatt Regency for Mother's Day
And gained a pound.
Today was a beatific day, gentlemen. I can't tell you for how long New York Cheesecake has been my favorite dessert, how long it's been since I had one slice unto myself, nor how long I've been craving for it. The same goes for orange juice. Happy Mother's Day to all, and to all a good night.

Champagne mimosa! Getting drunk with Mom, awesome. Although it would take a lot to do so....but who knows, you might be a lightweight Anyway, glad you enjoyed yourself. I for one did not get drunk with my mother, I only took her to breakfast.....

I think the alcohol was absorbed by all that cheesecake.
Hah, funny; I only ever drink with my mom. Never been tipsy, though, nor have I any interest. I'm pretty lightweight, but I manage to get through quite a bit... then, I usually only drink when I eat, usually on a particular occasion, and in my family, particular occasions mean lots and lots of heavy food.
Oy, when we publish and get a book deal, take your mom to Hyatt for brunch. It's super expensive, but for a once in awhile adventure, so satisfying...
(I wonder if anyone knows my preoccupation with food yet? I mean, my last two essays in school dealt with food, and when people ask how the weekend was, I start talking about everything I ate. Hm.)

It shall be done, but since I have no idea where (or What Hyatt) is, you may have to bring your mother and show me.
