Since you never seem to be on AIM anymore Ro, looks like I need to pass this idea your way on here, so....
I think that Morgan needs to make another appearance, perhaps find Lerris on the mountain side and help bring him down to his father's home? Maybe fast-forward a few weeks, have Lerris at last gain consciousness and get on his feet. Then send him homeward? Maybe let Rowen get a word in, then give Lerris his last say and finally end this thread.
How does that sound?

Yeah, yeh dip.
Gluey, not Lerri.
@ Lerris: Sounds fine to me. Morgan can be looking out for shelter, maybe gathering timber, what-have-you--maybe leaving home for good. My request is still that Lerris bring back a body, however, so the time-frame will have to be considerably shorter than a few weeks. I'm looking up to see how long the decaying process takes; three days is when the muscles loosen, so that's still very early in the process. Beyond that, my sources all say something to the effect of it depends, so I guess we want to hit it sometime after that.
Heh, sorry about not being online very much. Since we don't have the same schedule anymore, I haven't bothered. If you tell me the general ranges when you're more likely to be on, it might help.

Why am I a dip?
Grayson would pretty much be broken (like in half), if the drop was as long as I figured. I'm not sure I'm into the idea of bringing back the body. Without it, it kind of feels more like the kid is lost forever, with it, it feels like he survived in a physical way, but not in a spiritual way.
Do you know what I mean?

I wanted it for Rowen. She won't be able to accept he's gone without a body, and I won't do that to her Anyway, I'm not sure the body will be necessarily unpresentable, pending how it landed (ei, earth, mulch, etc.). It's not as if he'll fall on concrete, though he will be very much... dead.

OK OK OK OK
Yes, I am aware his house is burnt down (sorry, I just forget after not writing in that thread for months at a time)
How about this idea, Lerris, being the over-all awesome elf that he is, gets up on his own, finds his dead son, and carries him all the way home? (That was a joke by the way)

Honey... whatever you like.
Just let me know so I know if Morgan has to haul his sorry elven hide to shelter or somesuch. As not to be the one to hold up progress, if that's what you want.

This is the part where, if this were a television series, there would be a commercial break. Not because it's a suspenseful moment, but because we don't know what to do.

Seriously, I have no idea where to go from what I posted. Help me. Please. Heh, maybe you could do a such-and-such days later thing and he wakes up? And then he goes home with Grayson and such. Or, he could wake up after a couple days, wanders for awhile until Morgan finds him and houses him (somewhere--SHUT UP, gluey) for awhile (what with his injuries and such) before he finds Grayson and goes home. I'll leave it to you to decide

(somewhere--SHUT UP, gluey) STFU! Larry the Moose specifically said "his father's house", so I corrected him!
